Finely Hand-Knotted Kerman-Style Accent Rug
Item Details
A finely hand-knotted Kerman-style wool carpet runner. This beautiful rug is rendered in a palette of grey-blue, ocean, rose, magenta, wheat, ivory, tawny, and mauve. The ivory colored field begins with a scalloped floral medallion and palmette pendants. It features an abundance of intricately detailed floral and foliate motifs throughout, including sprays, and lancette leaves. Framing the field is an equally elaborate main border in a stylized herati pattern, as well as a floral meander guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a kilim skirt with ivory cotton warp fringe to the ends. Unlabeled.
