Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Bakhtiari area rug. This wool carpet is hand-knotted in a palette of pastel pink, coral, moss green, red, navy, sky blue, cream, and gray. It features a scalloped diamond shaped medallion patterned with willow trees. The field is patterned with diamond shaped arrangements of flower blossoms, willow trees, rosettes, and spiky leaves.It is framed with borders of zig-zag lines,carnation meanders, and alternating rosette medallions, trees and floral garlands. It is finished with overcast selvedges and fringe to either end. Attached to the back are leather strips.
