A finely hand-knotted Kerman-style wool carpet runner. This beautiful rug is rendered in a palette of ice blue, rose, teal, magenta, sky blue, sapphire, wheat, apricot, and mauve. The ice blue colored field begins with four flower themed pendant medallions, and it features an abundance or intricately detailed floral and foliate motifs throughout, including sprays, and lancette leaves. Framing the field is an equally elaborate main border in a stylized herati pattern, as well as a floral meander guard border. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a kilim skirt with a white cotton warp fringe to the ends. Unlabeled.
