A hand-knotted Indo-Persian Bijar wool palace runner. This long rug is rendered in a palette of ivory, camel, rust, sky blue, indigo, fern, and mocha. The field begins with a large ivory grounded lozenge with five hooked hexagonal medallions, as well as a herati pattern throughout, including to the rust grounded spandrels. Framing the field is a main samovar border with diamond patterned guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a white cotton warp fringe to the ends, as well as a vinyl band to the underside of each edge. Unlabeled.
