A pair of hand-knotted wool and silk Sino-Persian accent rugs. This pair offers a wool and silk blend rug which is rendered in a palette of cranberry, indigo, buff, gold, rose, pine, mocha, and sage. The cranberry colored field begins with a central pendant medallion with coordinating floral filled spandrels, and it features scrolling leafy and flowering vines. Framing the field is a main ornate floral meander with partial medallions and palmettes, as well as a pair of floral meander guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a kilim skirt with an ivory knotted warp fringe to the ends. There is a label to the underside. The other rug offered is rendered in a palette of black, white, sand, cranberry, green hues, rose, mocha, pale yellow, and slate. The black field begins with a central medallion in a floral theme with coordinating spandrels, and it features scrolling flower sprays, palmettes, and lancette leaves. Framing the field is a white grounded main border in a pattern of roses, palmettes, and scrolling leafy and flowering vines, along with a floral meander guard border. Finishing this wool rug are overcast selvedges and a white warp fringe to the ends.
