A hand-knotted Indian Agra style wool room size rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of cranberry, black, gold, ivory, sage, and sand. The cranberry colored field begins with a lobed medallion, and features scrolling leafy vines with palmettes and floral motifs. Framing the field is a main herati patterned border with two styles of floral meander guard borders, and a sawtooth minor border. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a skirted kilim with double knotted ivory warp fringe to the ends. Unlabeled.
