A Seth Thomas pillar and scroll mantel clock. The clock features a classic American design with a mahogany case that has swan pediments and brass spire finials. The clock features tapered pole side columns with corner blocks and a two-tiered glass front door that features a reverse painted image of Mt.Vernon on the lower door. The image is set in a brass frame with a decorative repousse design. The door also displays a metal face with a painted beige finish with black Roman numerals and hands and two brass key arbors. Other features of the clock include a brass pendulum and key, an eight-day time and strike movement and the clock stands on a shaped wood base with tapered wood legs. The clock is marked ‘Seth Thomas’ on the face.
