French Hand-Painted Porcelain Violin Trinket Box

Item Details

A French hand-painted porcelain violin trinket box. The body of the violin features a light blue ground with gilt and white arabesque designs to the top with a brass neck, scroll, bridge and tail piece. The underside features hand-painted floral, foliate and bird details. The piece is emboss marked ‘Made in France’ to the side of the neck and retains its original paper label to the interior marked ‘Made in France, Hand Painted’.

Condition

- some wear to the interior and around the collar; some white residue noted around the interior of the collar.
