Item Details
An oil painting on canvas of a fisherman. This Expressionist style painting depicts a horizontal lineup of the aforementioned seafarers posed with squat hats as they look towards the viewer. The figures are rendered with thick, gestural brush strokes in a palette of burn umber, yellow, orange and brown pigment. To the lower right corner is an illegible artist signature incised into the surface. The painting is presented in a dark brown wooden frame with sawtooth brackets to the verso for hanging.

- slight scuffs to surface of frame; slight discoloration to pigment.
