Antique Late George III Mahogany Chest of Drawers, Circa 1820
Item Details
An antique late George III mahogany chest of drawers, circa 1820. This rectangular top chest with beveled edges overhangs a conforming case with two aligned drawers above three full width, stacked drawers. The drawers feature pine secondary wood, dovetail joinery, escutcheons and brass oval plates with bail handles. The drawers are flanked by canted pilaster stiles. This piece terminates on bracket feet, possibly replaced. There are no visible maker’s marks.

- wood is split to the top and one side; handles dented and rusted; nicks, scratches, and scuffs throughout; dust present; stains present; original oval brasses; wood cracked and missing to back panel.
