A pastel drawing on paper by artist Beverly Bassford, titled Fighting Cocks. This drawing depicts a loose rendering of chickens huddled together, one of which bends over to peck at the ground. The splotched layering of color is reinforced by frenetic, black linework. To the lower right corner of the composition is a handwritten artist signature. The drawing is presented under glass beneath layered matting in a gold tone wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso.

- light wear to frame; scuffing and perforations to paper backing.
