A carved wooden crocodile head canoe prow, similar in style to carvings found in the Sepik River Valley of Papua, New Guinea. This handcrafted work depicts a flattened crocodile head with its jaws clamped shut, rows of sharp teeth, and eyes placed atop each side of the head. This work features a natural, textured finish and is unmarked.
