Item Details
An antique original oil on canvas portrait of a woman by an anonymous artist. The painting depicts a woman, facing forward, with her head turned slightly to the right. She is wearing a black dress with a delicate lace collar accented with a white floral corsage with green leaves. A gold tone tassel necklace chain decorates her neck with a center ruby stone. Her hair is pulled back tightly and she is silhouetted against a simple deep green tonal ground. The work is unsigned and housed in a gold tone gesso frame with an oval floral carved center.
Condition
- craquelure throughout.
- two 1" holes are present to canvas.
- one 7.5" scuff is also present near the holes.
