Antique Signed Haviland Limoges Barbotine Earthenware Vase
Item Details
An antique, signed Haviland Limoges barbotine earthenware floral vase, circa 1875-1882. It features a rectangular rim, round body with double handles and beveled base. It has a slip application glaze of brown and black, with barbotine decoration in applied, layered slips in a textured white floral bouquet with green leaf details. It is marked ‘Haviland & Co.-Limoges-10’ to the underside, and is marked through the glaze to one side with the initials ‘EG’, attributed to Edouard Girard.
