A pair of finely hand-knotted Sino-Persian wool and silk accent rugs. This pair offers two rugs rendered in the same palettes of black, ice blue, ivory, rose, taupe, green hues, cranberry, and pale yellow. The first rug offered is the larger of the two and features an all-over floral filled herati pattern to the black field, while framed in another herati pattern grounded in ice blue, with broken floral meander guard borders. The other rug offered has tones of blue added to it’s palette and features a large scalloped medallion on a black field with scrolling flowering vines and palmettes, as well as ornate spandrels. Framing the field is an ivory grounded main border in a palmette and bouquet meander. Both of these rugs are finished with overcast selvedges and an ivory warp fringe to the ends, as well as a label to the underside.
