Hand-Knotted Turkish Kayseri Area Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Turkish Kayseri area rug. This rug is hand-knotted in a palette of pastel pink, powder blue, golden tan, beige, burgundy, black, cream, midnight blue, peach, and pale olive. It has an ogival circular central medallion on a field patterned with curvilinear vines, lancet leaves, and palmettes. The scalloped corner brackets are patterned with feather-like cypress trees. It is framed with borders of linked flowers and a herati pattern. Finished with double-sewn edges and short fringe to either end. It is not labeled.
Condition
- some wear to pile ; edges have wear from use.
