Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Qashqai area rug. This wool rug is hand-knotted in a warm tone palette of bright orange, rust red, burgundy, ocher, espresso, black, terracotta, and white. It has a rhomboid shaped medallion with sawtooth borders and a diamond motif with four curled arms. The field is patterned with lobbed flowers, boteh, hooked diamond medallions,tree of life motifs, and diagonal barber pole stripe columns. The four corner spandrels have the same diamond and curled arm medallions with crenelated edges. The rug is framed with geometric meander and boteh link borders. Finished with overcast edges and natural warp goat wool fringe. It is not labeled.
