Item Details
A hand-knotted Moroccan Rabat wool carpet runner. This long rug is rendered in a palette of saffron, ivory, sepia, and burnt umber. The golden saffron hued field is sparsely designed with three star shaped medallions and small spandrels, while framed in a picket border around the interior. The main border features boxed palmette motifs, while the guard borders feature a meandering ribbon pattern, and an alternating box and X pattern. Finishing this rug are double overcast selvedges and a thickly braided ivory cotton warp fringe to the ends, as well as a label to the underside.
