An oil painting on masonite of a rustic townscape by artist Cincinnati artist Vernon Rader (1924-2017). This painting depicts large stone buildings topped with crimson red and gray roofs clustered together, which is similar in structure to that of Central American architecture. The painting is presented in a dark wooden frame with a handwritten signature to the verso. Rader was a well-loved Cincinnati artist and philanthropist. Rader moved to Cincinnati in the 1940s to pursue an art degree at the University of Cincinnati, studying under American industrial designer Russell Wright. Vernon became the art director at Proctor and Gamble.

- wear to edges of frame; smudges on verso of masonite; backing paper remnants on verso of frame.
