A signed and dated hand carved wall mirror by Ohio artist and wood carver, Chauncey Everett Black (1860-1931). Chauncey was a member of the New York society of Craftsman whose artistry skills ranged from sign painting, wood carving to architectural designs. This hand carved oak wall mirror features an arched top with flower medallions to sides with leaves creating finials. Carved sides continue with elongated leaves and carved medallion plinth base. A quarter fan design connects plinths. Rounded corner mirror rest in center. Hand carved signature and base to bottom, C.E Black, Oct. 1884. Wire mount to verso for hanging.
