A 1971 color lithograph on heavy cream-colored paper designed by internationally acclaimed Spanish surrealist painter and sculptor, Joan Miro (1893 – 1983). This four color lithograph is exemplary of the artist’s oeuvre, both bold and reliant on black line and primary color palettes. It was created for the cover of an edition of the French fine art publication, Derrière le Miroir, which was founded in 1946 and continuously published by Galerie Maeght until 1982. The piece is presented beneath an off-white mat in a wooden frame and under glass. There is a wire for hanging to the verso.
