David T. Smith Cherry Pewter Cupboard

A David T. Smith custom crafted cherry pewter cupboard, in an Early American style, by David T. Smith, Morrow, Ohio. The large hutch has a molded cornice and scalloped valance, on scroll-sawn sides, supporting four shelves. Three have molded edges and the lower has a notched spoon rail. The separate base cabinet has two small drawers with hand cut dovetails and brass batwing pulls. There are two raised-panel doors with brass H-hinges and knobs, above a scalloped apron and boot-jack ends. Distressed finish to replicate antique. Stamped by the maker on the back.
