G. E. Hicks Etchings on Paper of Historical Scenes
Item Details
A collection of ten etchings with engraved embellishments on paper of a variety of historical scenes originally designed by G. E. Hicks and engraved by L. Stocks. These prints feature scenes of first settlers in American, the seizure of Roger Mortimer, and the welcoming of King Henry the Sixth into London among others. Each print features a title or short stanza to the lower margin. They are each signed in plate to the lower margin and were originally published by the Art Union of London in 1846. All prints remain unframed.

- to fair; toning and foxing to prints; water stains are present; fraying, creasing, and wear to edges.
