A chalkware figure made in 1959 by Universal Statuary Corporation of Chicago. The piece is marked as pattern number 559 and depicts a Classical Grecian female figure standing in contemplation as she pours water from a ewer. The piece is decorated with a painted cream and gold tone finish and is marked ‘Universal Statuary Corp, Chicago, 1959, 559’ in mold to the bottom of the verso. It is mounted to a round gold tone metal base.

Condition

- small scratches, surface markings and wear; minor discoloration.
