An antique 1884 lithographic map of Cherokee Nation by the Smithsonian Institution Bureau of Ethnology. This color printed map depicts parts of Kentucky, West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee. A scheduled list of Cherokee cessions is printed in the upper right. This work is presented under glass with a light blue mat in a black and gold tone wood frame. There is a hanging string mounted to the verso.
Condition
- glass could be cleaned more thoroughly; light wear to frame finish; toning toward the edges of print; minor scratches to frame.
