A pair of late 20th-century carved wooden wall plaques. The works depict portraits of medieval figures carved in relief, and set inside circular borders surrounded by carved sea serpent and foliate embellishments. Included is the portrait of a bearded male figure with ruffled collar, as well as the portrait of a woman in a wimple head covering, depicted in side profile. Each includes a sawtooth hanger to the verso. No signatures or maker’s marks were found.

Condition

- to fair; nicks, edge wear, scuffing and scratching to surface; small holes present to verso.
