Collection of Gouache Advertising Illustrations on Board
Item Details
A collection of ten vintage gouache illustrations on illustration board and paper, including four by listed American artist Edward Robert Moreau (1913 – 2004). Moreau published work through the WPA/Federal Art Project during the 1930s. The collection also features advertisements for Sanka Coffee, Studebaker Trucks and Scotland. Three are signed in graphite by Edward Moreau, and one by Owen Tuthil. The remainder are unsigned.
Condition
- toning, foxing and accretion throughout. Some have damage to board edges. Illustrations on paper have small tears.
