Vintage S. Kirk & Son "Repoussé" Sterling-Handled Carving Set
Item Details
A vintage sterling-handled carving set in the Repoussé pattern by S. Kirk & Son. This set includes one fork with attached stand and one knife, each featuring a wide rim bolster above a hollow sterling silver handle decorated with the iconic repoussé floral design first introduced in 1828. The bolsters are marked ‘Sterling S. Kirk & Son Inc.’ and the knife blade is marked ‘Samuel Kirk & Son Inc. Baltimore, MD Founded 1815’. The markings were used 1924 – 1932.
Condition
- to fair; surface wear including scratches and minimal tarnish; the blade edges have heavy scratches.
