Power-Loomed Persian Style Area Rug

A power-loomed Persian style area rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of indigo, ivory, ochre, wheat, and emerald. The indigo colored field begins with a large star medallion, and features an abundace of scrolling floral and foliate motifs, along with ivory grounded spandrels in the same theme. Framing the field is a main meandering border of leaves and flowers with cruciform motifs, as well as three floral meander guard borders. Finishing this rug are serged edges and an applied ivory fringe to the ends. Unlabeled.
