A collection of records, an oil portrait painting and biography about and depicting Russian born singer Oda Slobodskaya (1888-1970). This collection includes an oil painting on board by British artist Ruskin Spear (1911 – 1990) depicting the soprano singer in mid concert. The painting is signed by hand to the lower left corner and features a decal to verso with the name of the artist, the location of the concert, and the name of the artist. The collection also includes nine records featuring music by the artist and a biography titled Slobadskaya by Maurice Leonard.
Condition
- painting is warped; record sleeves worn and bent around edges. Records are untested.
