Item Details

A pair of Chinese embroidered silk textiles depicting birds, leaves and insects. Both pieces are horizontally oriented and are done in silk thread on a cream colored silk base using a variety of colorful silk threads for the handwork. Each scene is then bound by two woven silk borders and trim work. They are held in wood frames under glass with decorative metal hangers to the top. Neither is signed by an artist.

Condition

- moderate discoloration to each piece; moderate wear to frames in the form of scratches.
