A hand tufted Chinese Savonnerie carved wool area rug by Safavieh. This elaborate rug is rendered in a palette of ivory, black, gold, rose, cranberry, lavender, rust, and moss. The sculpted field begins with an ornately detailed central medallion with floral, fruit, and foliate motifs, along with architectural aspects, that travel to the rest of the field. Framing the field is a notched border with motifs of large scrolling leaves, blooms, crown forms, and fruits, as well as a border of curled leaves. Finishing this gorgeous rug is a cotton binding and backing, and a label to the underside.
