A vintage decorative Nippon Noritake box. This Nortitake porcelain decorative box features a hand painted aquatic scene at dusk. The panels exhibit trees and grasses at the water’s edge in greens and light blue against the red and pink of the sky at sunset. The corners have been embellished with porcelain brackets and block feet that the piece rests upon. This piece bears the stamp of Noritake, the letter ‘M’ in a wreath for Morimura Brothers and the words ‘Hand Painted Nippon’ to the underside. This mark is associated with Noritake from ca 1911-1921.
