A pairing of sterling silver items including an antique baby spoon by Gorham and a Mexican-made trinket box. The Gorham baby spoon is presented in the classic Chantilly pattern depicting scrolls with fleur de lis accents, designed by William Christmas Codman and first introduced in 1895. The handle has a personalized engraving at the tip and bears a late 19th century Gorham maker’s mark to the reverse. The oval trinket box features a hinged lid decorated with one round amethyst cabochon in a bezel setting with a rope border. The underside is marked ‘Hecho En Mexico Pachuca Hgo’ with an ‘AYB 925’ maker’s mark and an eagle symbol. The total approximate weight including the amethyst detail is 1.035 ozt.
