A hand-knotted Persian Isfahan area rug. This wool rug is hand-knotted in a palette of midnight blue, ruby, sky blue, taupe-gray, ivory, teal, and black. This rug has a eight segment pointed central medallion on a deep blue oval shaped lozenge patterned with arabesqued vines, lancet leaves, and palmettes. These same designs repeat in the borders, as well as meander patterns. It is finished with overcast selvedges and fringe to either end.
