Item Details

An antique school master’s-type brass hand bell with a wooden handle, circa late 19th to early 20th century. It features a turned handle retaining traces of black paint joined to a shaped body with a raised collar, a flared lip, and an iron clapper. There are no maker’s marks.

Condition

- to fair; handle with paint loss and tiny nicks; body with some light scratches, marks, and tarnishing; clapper with minor oxidation.
