A trio of cold bronze maquette sculptures by Dayton artist Virginia K. Hess. These contemporary abstract sculptures feature organic, flowing line patinated in bronze toned finish. These pieces art not signed by the artist, but one sculpture features the artist’s business card to the bottom. The sculptures are presented on black painted wooden bases.

Virginia Krause Hess is a versatile, distinguished artist from Dayton, Ohio whose works range from oil paintings to wood, ceramic, stone and metalwork sculptures in subjects spanning from from abstract work, portraiture and landscapes, to historical scenes and events. She has fulfilled commissions from public institutions and private collectors both regionally and nationally. In 2006, Ms. Hess unveiled a bronze bust at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum. Virginia received her formal art education at the School of the Dayton Art Institute and the University of Dayton. She has taught fine art classes at several institutions throughout the Ohio Valley Region.
