A decorative Nippon Noritake vase. This Noritake hand painted vase features a pastoral aquatic scene at daybreak with distant hazy mountains and a a lake and trees in the foreground. This urn shaped vase boasts bold yellow and black hues highlighted with gilded accents in the trees and the base as well as light blues and greens. This vase bears the stamp of Noritake, the letter ‘M’ in a wreath for Morimura Brothers and the words ‘Hand Painted Nippon’ to the underside. This mark is associated with Noritake from ca 1911-1921.
