A 1994 pastel drawing on paper by Natick, Massachusetts artist Joyce Goodman. The piece depicts the portrait of a young bride looking over her shoulder as she holds a bouquet of pink roses against a mottled grey and pink background. The work is signed and dated in pastel to the lower left. It is matted in off-white and presented under glass in a gold tone and silver tone wooden frame with hanging wire mounted to the verso. Joyce Goodman (1930-2017) was an American painter based out of Natick Massachusetts. Goodman is known for her traditional autumnal landscape scenes of rural Massachusetts, as well as her figure studies and explorations into contemporary abstraction.
