An original abstract acrylic painting on canvas by Cincinnati artist and Xavier University professor Teresa Tolentino. The abstract painting, rendered in a palette of yellow, blue, maroon and gold, features a layered surface, becoming increasingly textured towards the center, . The work is signed in purple to the lower center. The gallery wrapped canvas is presented unframed, and is ready to hang.

Tolentino was an artistic child growing up in middle class America. However, when she gained early acceptance to Xavier University there was no art major. Instead, she majored in Foreign Languages, which became a huge influence in her art. After working in education for over thirty years she was finally able to begin her art career, using her entire life’s journey as her inspiration. Recently, and most poignantly, this has included her family’s struggle with Huntington’s disease.

- several small holes to canvas to upper right and center. Light accretion to painting surface. Minor wear to canvas edges.
