1948 Letter from Laurence Olivier to Herbert Marshall

Item Details

A December 11, 1948 personal letter from awarding winning British actor and director Laurence Olivier (1907-1989) to Herbert Marshall. It is signed in ink and it mentions the film, Tinker (1949) which was written by Marshall and his wife Fredda Brilliant. The film depicts the training regiment for young boys before they begin work as miners. The film won an award at the 1949 Edinburgh Film Festival.
