Vintage Art Nouveau Nippon Noritake Vase

A vintage Art Nouveau Nippon vase. This vase by Noritake features a light green base with grapeleaf and cluster motif in the center of the body highlighted by a red, green and gilded geometric and floral motif below the neck. The vase has gilded curvilinear arms terminating in acanthus leaves and the stylized mouth and base are also embellished with a foliate moriage decorated pattern of grape and acanthus leaves. This vase bears the stamp of Noritake, the letter ‘M’ in a wreath for Morimura brothers and the words ‘Hand Painted Nippon’ to the underside. This mark is associated with Noritake from ca 1911-1921.
