A reproduction offset lithograph on paper after an original 1952 painting titled Galatea of the Spheres by well-listed artist Salvador Dalí (Spanish, 1904 – 1989). The piece is signed ‘Dalí’ by an unknown hand to the lower margin; additionally, dated and signed in plate to the lower margin. Housed in a composite frame under acrylic glass and a double layer of matting.

Dalí was born in Figueres, Spain to Salvador Dalí y Cusi, a lawyer and notary, and Felipa Domenech Ferres. His mother encouraged his artistic pursuits a eccentricities. In 1922 Dalí enrolled at the Academia de San Fernando in Madrid, Spain. It was during this time that he went to Paris started interacting with Picasso, Magritte, and Miro leading to his first Surrealist phase. Dalí is best known for his Surrealist painting, drawing, photography, and sculptures. His works are housed in many private collections and museums across the globe.
