Item Details
A copy engraving on paper titled Descent from the Cross (Second Plate) after well-known artist Rembrandt van Rijn (Dutch, 1606 – 1669). This print depicts Jesus’ being illuminated by a beam of light as he descends from the cross and is rendered with chiaroscuro. It is signed and dated, 1633, in plate to the lower margin. This print is presented matted and housed in a matte black wooden and gesso frame under plastic.

- billow to paper; dust and accretions to plastic and frame; chips to gesso on frame; scratches and dents to frame; gaps at frame corners.
