Art Nouveau Nippon Floral Porcelain Vase

Item Details

An Art Nouveau floral Nippon porcelain vase. The vase features a painted floral motif on a cream porcelain upper body and vertical foliate moriage decoration on the lower body and rim in a muted bronze tone with gilding. The stylized urn shape vase has small gilded handles and rim and the vase bears the stamp of Noritake, the letter ‘M’ in a wreath for Morimura Brothers and the words ‘Hand Painted Nippon’ to the underside. This mark is associated with Noritake from ca 1911-1921.
