Vintage Moriage Decorated Nippon Pitcher

Item Details

A vintage moriage decorated Nippon pitcher. This pitcher features a floral and foliate pattern at the rim and base in green and pink, highlighted with raised gilded moriage decoration. The light cream colored porcelain body is accented with gilded flowers and gilded bands of a foliate design. The handle and rim have also been embellished with gilding and the pitcher bears the stamp of Noritake and the words ‘Hand Painted Nippon’ to the underside. This mark was used between 1911-1921.
