Pair of Hand-Knotted Tekke Bokhara Wool Accent Rugs
Item Details
A pair of hand-knotted Tekke Bokhara wool accent rugs. Each of the rugs feature a series of Tekke guls running the length with partial guls to the verge. The rugs are worked in ivory, sapphire blue, orange, rose and black grounded in scarlet. Framing these rugs are starburst flower box style primary borders in the field colors, and compound guard borders including soldier style, diamond chains and checkered patterns. Both rugs also have a wide lattice panel at the short ends. Selvedges are overcast, the rugs finish with long kilim skirts and knotted ivory fringe to each end. Both are not labeled.
