Walker & Hall Glass and Repoussé Sterling Vanity Jars with Silver Plate Tray

A pairing of Art Nouveau glass vanity jars with sterling silver tops by Walker & Hall of England. The glass jars feature cut foliate designs leading up to petaled edges. They are topped by hinged sterling silver lids decorated with repoussé scroll and flower motifs, one opening to reveal a small glass stopper. They bear Walker & Hall pictorial pennant and date marks along the collars, one with a Chester city mark and the other with an indiscernible city mark. They are also marked to the interior. These pieces are accompanied by an unmarked silver plate on copper tray with an ornate foliate and floral rim.
Condition
- significant surface wear to silver plate including losses, scratching and tarnish; the lids are dented and misshapen; one jar is missing its interior stopper.
