Vintage Hitchcock Style Side Chair with Caned Seat

Item Details

A vintage Hitchcock style, wood side chair having a shaped crest rail embellished with stenciled fruit in gold over another, similarly shaped rail, also stenciled and flanked by curved stiles with gold pinstriping. The framed caned seat rises on front cabriole legs joined by pinstriped stretchers to the back legs that extend from the stiles. There are no visible maker’s marks.
