Handbuilt Inlay Stoneware Vase

A handbuilt inlay stoneware vase. This remarkable vase has been carefully crafted from marbled and variously colored clays, inlaid and incised to created a high desert landscape, using a variety of earthenware and stoneware clays. The exterior has been left in its bisqued state to preserve the naturalistic feel and appearance of desert sand, while the interior has a clear gloss liner glaze over a marbled clay body. It has a wide, tapered form with a flat base, and does not appear to be marked.
